You've got questions. We've got answers.
A: If you have your own ideas and goals in mind for the photoshoot, organize a date and time that could work best to meet your goals.
Ideally, we would book you at a time where the whole family is available and rested. Often that is a weekend – our most popular time – so plan ahead and get the date that works best for your family.
FYI – our busiest seasons are summer and early winter.
If you are looking to book a session during a weekend day in the month of June, July or August – we recommend booking your session before the summer months so that we can guarantee you a slot on our calendar – as they do fill up quickly.
If you are looking to book a session with us in November or December – we recommend booking your session with us before November so that we can guarantee you a slot in our calendar (December and November are our busiest months of the year).
A: We don’t have mini sessions (or take any short cuts in making you look great.) We block ample time to meet so we’re not rushed – and have time for wardrobe changes, snack breaks and melt downs.
The session is usually completed in an hour. If everyone has energy, we may go on longer. Often the duration is determined by the youngest child letting us know it’s time to finish up. We typically keep shooting until we’ve captured enough to meet all of your expectations—and as long as everyone is still having fun.
A: First, we recommend that you take a look at our pinterest page for ideas on your photo session with us : https://www.pinterest.com/jackdstudio/.
We also recommend wearing neutral colors, nothing big and bold (but you already knew that). We find that the best family pictures are usually the ones where everyone looks like they are part of the same team in the way that they are dressed.
A: Most people prefer photos in the studio. We can photograph on your location when it has a special meaning to you and your family. We have photographed throughout the Greenwich area -with Tod’s point and Bruce Park being the most popular locations.
A: After the photoshoot, we’ll reach out to have you return to the studio to view our favorites and your favorites from the many photos taken during your session. From there, you can choose digital files, wall displays or albums.

We can include grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins, and dogs (they are an important part of the family). Let us know who (and children’s ages) is coming.
